Welcome to the Air Force Pilot Development (AFPD) Committee Webpage. The AFPD focuses on minority pilot issues, both within and external to the Air Force. There is not a formal membership requirement other than to possess an active interest in minority aviation issues i.e., you do not have to be an Air Force Academy Alumni, member of the Air Force, or even a pilot to become a part of AFPD. Partnering with AFPD is simple and easy as we are always looking for volunteers for upcoming WOL and AFPD events. Most of these activities provide the opportunity for you to serve as a military/aviation role model and are very fulfilling personally and organizationally. Finally, we are always in need of financial support in order to provide youth with flight experience and military exposure (e.g., Air Force Academy tours, aviation scholarships). Below you will find additional basic information regarding our activities, purpose and how you can become involved in these efforts. - Capt Kenyatta Deacon Ruffin, USAFA c/o 03
