College Football Tailgate Party at USAFA on 20 Sep

Are you interested in helping put on a catered tailgate party before the Air Force vs Utah football game on 20 Sep 08? Hap Hairston and a few others are looking for help. This would be a great "stress relief" for the cadets and a way for you to support WOL activities and eat BBQ at the same time. Email Hap at mrcph@msn.com if you want to help or have ideas to make the event a great time for all.

2008 Tuskegee Airmen Inc Convention -- WOL Involvement

I am a strong advocate for WOL involvement in TAI National Conventions. Not only can we pay tribute to a wonderful legacy but we can also learn the DO's and Don'ts as WOL prepares for an eventual WOL National Convention.
This year the 37th Annual TAI Convention will be held 17-20 July 2008 at the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown (Philadelphia, PA).

WOL Event at Air & Space Museum a Fantastic Success

The Air and Space Museum hosts a "Family Day" event in February - Black History Month each year and WOL is has become a regular. On 9 Feb 08 Way of Life Alumni AF Academy grads manned an information table and spoke with museum visitors about the "Academy Experience". WOL members brought a wealth of knowledege and experience to the event. Visitors, especially students and parents interested in the Air Force Academy, spent lots of time with our grads talking about everything from the Academy to life on active duty to transitioning to the civilian workforce.

WOL will host a Super Reunion of all Black Service Academy Graduates

WOL will lead in planning a "SUPER REUNION" of AF, Navy, West Point, Coast Guard, and Merchant Marine Academy graduates. Initial plans are for Feb 2010 in Miami, FL or possibly make the "SUPER REUNION" in conjunction with a Tuskegee Airmen, Organization of Black Airline Pilot type convention. This is a first ever such reunion and sure to be "INCREDIBLE."
